– MATERNITY PHOTOGRAPHY IN BEXLEYHEATH –
Maternity photography is a beautiful and intimate art form that captures the glow, joy, and anticipation of pregnancy. It focuses on celebrating the mother-to-be, her growing belly, and the emotional connection with her unborn child. Both parents, siblings and even your dog are welcome to capture special moments together.
These portraits are typically taken during later stages of pregnancy, around 28 to 36 weeks, when your baby bump is more prominent.
The goal of maternity photography is to document the unique, fleeting moments of this special time, and includes a variety of poses with mum-to-be on her own and with family. The warmth and comfort of my studio will give you the opportunity to pose in comfort, clothed or semi-nude. These photos aim to reflect the mother’s personality, style, and emotional journey.
My style of maternity photography embraces natural moments with a casual code of dress. A popular outfit choice is denim and white, from my photos you can see how plain clothes can work so effectively. Clothes must be provided by yourself, or if you wish to hire a dress for a different look you can do this. A popular place to hire maternity dresses is – https://www.propsanddrops.co.uk/
These images serve as timeless keepsakes that will be cherished for years to come, celebrating the beauty of motherhood and the miracle of life.
Pregnancy is the only time in life when you can experience the miracle of creation, and maternity photography captures that fleeting, beautiful moment forever

FAQ
What should we wear?
I would suggest keeping things fairly neutral – not too smart, not too scruffy. Try to wear something you might normally wear, this way you will feel comfortable. The main rule is: simple, non-patterned or heavy logo’s. Try to coordinate colours so your colours work well as a group.
Alternatively you can hire beautiful dresses from – https://www.propsanddrops.co.uk/
What do I need to do to prepare for the photoshoot?
Make yourself a list of items to bring. Some of those things might be –
Outfit options
Make-up
Hair brush
Body lotion
Scan photo
Pack your bag the night before your photoshoot. Some people find it easier to bring everything in a small suitcase and carry their clothes on a hanger.
What happens if my children mis-behave?
Firstly, I’m a mum and have dealt with tantrums, talking children round and have worked with children of all ages from being a child practitioner for over ten years. I’ve literally seen it all and won’t be surprised by anything your child throws at me! I’m relaxed by nature, and ask parents not to worry or be anxious about their children on the photoshoot.
If one of your children is not co-operating, we’ll deal with this at the time. I have never in all the years I have photographed had a child completely refuse to be photographed. I have many tricks up my sleeve!
What if I hate having my photo taken?
People say this to me all the time. I’ll be there to pose you in the best light and will give you tips on how to stand/sit to look your very best. As a professional photographer it’s my job to guide and make sure you feel comfortable. Nobody has ever regretted having their photo taken with me!
What if I am ill?
This can happen and I ask you not to worry about it. All I ask is that you give me 48 hours notice where possible and we will re-arrange your photoshoot. You will not lose your money.
If you have any doubts about whether you should go ahead or not, get in touch and we can discuss it. I want the shoot to be fun and successful – battling against an illness is no fun for anyone. Let’s take care of one another and be sensible!
